Services-as-Software: The Future of BFSI Partnerships
"The real value in BFSI technology partnerships is shifting from buying technology and delivery capacity to accessing execution through software. Services-as-Software collapses the traditional separation between software and services: domain expertise becomes encoded into a technology-enabled delivery layer, AI executes more of the workflow, and human talent concentrates on judgment, exceptions, controls, and complex decisions. The result is not simply automation of existing work, but a model in which operations generate intelligence as they execute; decisions, exceptions, and corrections become inputs that make subsequent execution smarter. Contracting must follow the delivery model. Instead of paying primarily for licenses, FTEs, or capacity, BFSI firms increasingly need commercial models tied to transactions, workflows, platforms, and measurable outcomes, with clear baselines, attribution, governance, and visibility into the underlying AI economics. The provider does not disappear; labor simply ceases to be the product. The partnership is increasingly monetizing execution, outcomes, and the intelligence generated through delivery".
